In the wake of nationwide (and worldwide) protests in support of racial justice and #BlackLivesMatter, new resources on racism have been developed, including for parents struggling with how to best educate themselves and how to address the issues with their children of different ages. Like they did on coronavirus, Sesame Street and CNN have teamed up to offer a townhall format conversation with questions and answers – this time on racism today. ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’: Oprah To Host Two-Night Town Hall On Systemic Racism

Winfrey will host the two-night special OWN Spotlight: Where Do We Go From Here?, which will simulcast across OWN and all of Discovery’s 18 U.S. networks June 9 and June 10 at 9 p.m. ET. The special will also be available on Watch OWN and Discovery Family TVE apps for free as well as OWN’s YouTube, Instagram and Facebook channels. Discovery’s global networks across 200 countries and territories will also air the special as well.

The special promises “in-depth conversations” that will “offer insight and tangible plans to answer the questions ‘What matters now?’ ‘What matters next?’ and ‘Where do we go from here?’.” Political and entertainment figures who will take part in the special include “1619 Project” journalist and Pulitzer prize-winner Nikole Hannah-Jones, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, politician Stacey Abrams, director, Ava DuVernay, Color of Change President Rashad Robinson, NAACP national board member and leader of the Poor People’s Movement Rev.
